Our 2017 Summer Bucketlist

Every year we try and put together a list of things we want to do before the nights draw in and the urge to hibernate becomes too strong to resist. we never manage to tick off everything but we give it a good go! With Joe spending 4 weeks of the summer working in Peru and us both heading out to Chamonix in August it’s looking like an adventurous and exciting summer all round.

  • Go Surfing
  • Climb at the beach
  • Post work evening picnic
  • wild swim
  • Roadtrip somewhere we’ve never been
  • Camp out, Cook out
  • Go to a theme park
  • Make Jam (and lots of it, strawberry and sweet chilli are our favourite)
  • Sleep in a hammock
  • Climb a new mountain
  • Walk to the pub across the hills and walk back in the dark
  • Holiday in the van
  • Go to a ‘Random’ festival
  • Eat fish and chips on the seafront
  • Go out in a summer storm
  • Stand up paddleboard
  • Go to a waterpark
  • Plan a big picnic in the park with friends

We’d love to hear about your summer plans!

    Loving your list! Quite a few of those I’ve managed to cross off already this year including;
Wild swim, Climb a new mountain, Roadtrip somewhere we’ve never been, Camp out, Cook out plus Go kayaking and go to an outdoors gig, all sorted.
Next on my list are; big camping trips with mates (this weekend!), finally stand up on an SUP, go to a full day meditation mini-retreat, eat a very fancy meal and do a classic Lake District hill walk.

Sounds like an excellent summer! We’re planning a road trip around England (with a look-in at the Welsh borders), visiting National Trust properties and friends and camping as we go.
